Ordinance requirements cannot be modified.
1. DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIVISION:
a. The maximum exterior noise level entering the care home shall be 60 db Ldn at three feet
from any of the building's exterior walls (Section No. 9-3800(e)).
b. An acoustical study shall be prepared and shall contain the following (Section No. 9-
3801):
(1) A brief description of the project, including a scale map with an illustration of the
topographical relationship between the noise sources and the proposed project.
The map shall also show lines of equal noise level in five db-Ldn steps, extending
down to Ldn equals 60.
(2) Identification of noise sources, both near and far, and their characteristics, as
follows:
(A) Average daily level of activity (Le,, traffic volume, flights per day).
(8) Distribution of activity over day and night, days of the week, and season.
(C) Composition of noise sources, frequency (1/3 octave band), and any
unusual characteristics.
(3) Predicted noise levels considering present land usage.
