Re
Existing Use: vised April 24, 2001
There is a home, metal barn and another building with a metal roof and
ends with screened sides on the existing property. The remainder of the
property is fallow.
Percolation Test: On April 11,12, 2001 one percolation test and a soil profile were
preformed by me in conformance with the percolation test
procedures outlined in the "Manual Septic Tank Practice",
published by the U.S. Department of Health Education and
Welfare and per requirements of the San Joaquin County Local
Health District. The approximate locations of the test percolation
hole and soil profile are shown on the accompanying detail map.
The percolation rate w30 Min/lnct1
Soil Profile: No water was encountered at a depth of 10 feet. Materials
encountered were 0'1' silty clay, 1'-10' silty sand.
Winery Waste: It is proposed to scatter the winery waste once production is under
way, through out the new vineyard
J
Recommendations: The owners of the proposed "Micro"winery expect on average
patronage of twelve people a day on the weekends. The tasting
room will only be opened on the weekends from 12 noon to
3:00 pro.
It is recommended that the existing septic system be expanded by
adding 75' of leach lines and providing a 9000 sq. ft. of filter area
The 9000' sq ft. of filter area consists of 8000 sq ft as required by
the percolation rate of 30 min/inch and an estimated 1000 sq ft. for
the wine tasting.
A replacement area of 9000 sq ft. should be set aside for future
needs.
It is also recommended that a Zabel filter be installed at the
discharge end of the existing septic tank.
3
