L
LJanuary 10,2006
NOA Project Number: E05169A
L2.3 USGS Topographic Maps
The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, Lodi,
L California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1990 was available through Microsoft
Terraserver. In the 1990 map,one structure is depicted in the northwest comer of the subject property.
An irrigation canal runs from the northwest comer south and exits near the center of the eastern
property line. The property is depicted at approximately 100 feet above mean sea level. This map is
v included in Appendix C of this report
2.4 Interviews
3.,49 i
An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property
i from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and
Disclosure Statement was completed by Greg Rausser, owner of the subject property,on approximately
December 20,2005. A copy of his responses has been included in this report as Appendix E.
In his responses to the questionnaire,Mr. Rausser indicated that his parents acquired the property in
the 1940's.The property has been a home site since 1958. The barn on the site was built in 1954,and
L the home was built in 1958.Mr.Rausser was not aware of any fuel tanks, chemical storage,or chemical
spills on the property.
During the site visit on January 9,2006,Mr.Rausser indicated that his father had transformed much of
the property in the 1950's by leveling the land and turning the meandering creek into an irrigation canal.
He stated that there had been a house to the west of the cows which had been demolished in the late
l 1950's or early 1960's. His father had torn out the orchards near the center of the property sometime
L during the mid- 1950's.
,Z3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
3.1 Research Methods
NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the
location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries,
and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets
within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address
ranges.
4
