Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report—APN: 009-100-02—To create four(4)parcels containing
80 acres each within an existing 320 acres parcel
One(1)of the permit listed the soil as hardpan and rock. Another(1)permit listed
\ the soil as clay loam. Yet another(1)permit listed the soil as adobe. Seven(7)permits
listed the soil as hardpan and the remaining seven permits did not list a soil type. Even
though most of the soils listed had slow permeability character, only one (1)permit was
for replacing a leach field installation. All seventeen (17)pit installations served
satisfactorily and did not have to be repaired or replaced. Historically pit septic systems
have served satisfactorily in the area of the subject property.
(3.3) Possible Nitrate and DBCP Pollution:No animals were seen on the subject
property so there does not appear to be any undue nitrate concentrations because of an
overpopulation of animals.
/ Maps entitled"DBCP and Nitrate—Land Use" available in the Environmental 1
( Health Department's office were consulted and contained the following chemical
1 concentrations information in the area of the subject property:
The subject property is in an area where no Dibromochloropropane (DBCP)
concentrations have been detected.
The subject property is also in an area known to contain less than 20 parts per
million Nitrate concentrations.
According to the aforementioned maps DBCP and Nitrates are not known to be
contamination contributors on the subject property.
(3.4)Possible Chemical Use in Crop Production: the chemicals normally used
in the land agricultural use of producing a grape crop are listed in Appendix II,which is
attached to and made an integral part of this report. The information listed therein was
derived from the University Of California at Davis' web site.
✓ (3.5)Actual Chemical Use In Crop Production: The San Joaquin County Agricultural
Commissioner's Office was requested to access their files and report on any recorded
restricted product permit applications and product applications by the property owner
over the last five(5)years in the east half of Section 33,Township 5 North,Range 8
East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian.
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office has responded in
their report dated October 1, 2003and list the permits involved and any applications made
on the subject property. The results of their search are summarized in Appendix III
which is attached to and made an integral part of this report.
r (3.6)Offsite Possible Contamination Contributors: As noted under Section(2A)Past
And Present Uses Of The Subject Property, the subject property is in and surrounded by
an area devoted to agricultural pursuits and this is especially verified by the 2010 zoning
AG80 If the surrounding land is not devoted to agricultural use it is left in its natural
I reward Tnveatmenta T.T r 17777 T iherfv Rd !',alt f alifnmia 05619-R71I 5
