1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: 1.1 Description of Site: The project consists of a 7.38 acre parcel located at 22550 E. Liberty Road, Clements, Ca. The project is in an agricultural community, and the existing parcel is zoned C-X (Commercial). 1.2 Description of proposed development: It is proposed to split the 7.38 acre parcel into two parcels; a 4.86 acre parcel and a 2.52 acre parcel. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report(SSCR) is being submitted for approval. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation, interviews with the owner, and county records. (this SSCR includes minimal chemical analysis) 1.3 Parcel Location Map: (See Appendix for Tentative map with Vicinity Map, and APN Page). 1.4 Site Map: (See Appendix for Tentative Map). 2.0 PAST, PRESENT, AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES OF THIS SITE: 2.1 Discussion of Past,Present, and Proposed Future Uses: The primary source of information of the historic use of this property is testimony of the owner, Mr. Lowell Rathe. Mr. Rathe was interviewed on 6/7/04. Mr Rathe has owned the property for the past 11 years. At the time of purchase there was just the boat storage on the property. After purchasing the property, Mr. Rathe constructed the market on the property almost immediately. Presently the property includes the aforementioned boat storage, market and a trailer home for the operator of the market. The surrounding properties (north, south, east, and west) are open fields devoid of construction, row crops, or orchards. Future use of the property consists of a potential home being built on the 2.52 acre parcel after it has been split from the 7.38 parcel. The uses on the remaining 4.86 acre parcel will not change. No construction is proposed at this time. 3.0 IDENTIFICATION OF ALL PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTANIINATION• 3.1 Methods Used to Research: Methods used to research this parcel were records researched at the San Joaquin County Agriculture Commissioners office on 6/17/04 (see appendix for results).
