Photographs of the Site are
attached to this report as Appendix 2. The perimeter of the Site was inspected,
as well as the irrigation well at the southeast corner and the clearing surrounding
the southernmost tree.
The Site is a vineyard bounded by Linn Road on the east and Sargent Road on
the north. An irrigation well and a large, plastic, fertilizer tank are located at the
southeast corner of the Site.
A few oak trees are present throughout the vineyard. At the southernmost of
these, two trailers, a pile of wood, and some plastic drip hose are stored.
Three pole-mounted transformers are located along the eastern property line;
two of these were labeled free of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
The surrounding properties to the north and south are pastureland with rural
residences. To the west is a vineyard. To the east are orchards, vineyard,
pastureland, and rural residences.
5.0 INTERVIEWS
5.1 Interview with Client
Craig Watts was interviewed by telephone on August 11, 2016. At this time, he
indicated that he has owned the Site since approximately 1998. Shortly after
acquiring the Site, he had the vineyard planted and the irrigation well drilled, he
said. Prior to his ownership, the Site had been pasture.
Mr. Watts was not aware of any fuel tanks, chemical storage or mixing,
automotive maintenance, buried trash, dumping, or other environmental issues
with the potential to affect the Site.
LOGE 1620 3
