NAME OF FACILITY ADDRESS INFORMATION
(Continued)
Gerald Robertson 29325 S. Chrisman Road Located south of Linne Road and
cross-gradient to subject site.
James McLeod 28998 S. Chrisman Road Located south of Linne Road and
cross-gradient to subject site.
Of the historical USTs listed above, only the Tracy Rural Fire Department and Traina Brothers'
homesite contained tanks which were in proximity to the subject property. The tanks at both sites
are listed as "inactive." However, through personal conversations with knowledgeable people at
both these sites, the following information was obtained: Captain Larry Fregoso of the Tracy Rural
Fire Department stated that the UST at the fire department address listed above was removed
approximately 16 years ago. According to Mr. Fregoso, there was no soil contamination from fuel
spillage or leakage; therefore, the excavation was closed-in. Regarding the Traina property, the
owner of the property Connie Traina was interviewed in December of 2002 to determine the status
of a tank that was supposedly installed at this address in 1952. She had no recollection of a fuel
storage tank on her property. A subsequent and thorough visual inspection of the property at this
time revealed no indication of an UST. The property was landscaped in December 2002, with deep
trenching for PVC pipe installation. No mention was made by the landscaping company to Mrs.
Train of encountering anything unusual, such as piping, down spouts or tanks.
The GeoTracker map illustrates three LUSTS upgradient to the property and located on Tracy Blvd.
Based on the map scale, these three sites are more than two miles from the property, which make
them highly unlikely to have impacted the site.
The surface soils are composed of a Capay clay, which has a high clay content percentage. Because
of this high clay content soil, a soils engineer should assess the on-site soils to provide foundation
recommendations. Approximately 60 inches below grade, a gravelly clay material is found which
extends down to th groundwater, a`t a p oximately 60 ee .
It has been documented over many years, that the groundwater underlying the project has been
adversely impacted with nitrate. This was determined in a Nitrate Loading Study investigation
conducted for the Castello Estates and Linne Estates projects. As noted above, both projects will be
connected to an on-site 'Package Wastewater Treatment Plant." Nitrate loading will be discussed in
the Conclusions Section of this report.
LL
5 i
CFiesnq Consulting
