...
F
DARD PUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD SOURCESnmental documents reference nearby sites which may pose environmental concerns.efense Depot, located one mile to the northeast of the subject property was listed on
the National Priorities List(NPL). It has been well documented that the Defense Depot is
downgradient from the subject site based upon groundwater directional flow studies and from on-
site groundwater monitoring and remediation. Therefore, it can be considered extremely unlikely
the Army Depot has adversely affected groundwater under the property. The Environmental
Health Department stipulates all new wells drilled in an approximate eight square mile region
from the center of the Defense Depot will require a 200-foot grout seal with sampling for
Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Tetrachloroethylene (PCE). Since development of the subject
parcels will receive public water, there will be no new domestic wells on any of the parcels.
There are no wells on the sub at must be closed-in under C2MRty pwaait._ 1 X y
Other current or formerly contaminated sites listed include the following, based upon information
obtained for the adjacent Linne Estates project:
The Jefferson School District and Reich's Grocery have Leaking Underground Storage Tanks
(LUSTs). Reich's Grocery has received a "No Further Action" Letter from the California
Regional Water Quality Control Board referencing that this site is near final closure. Both sites
can be considered cross-gradient to the subject parcels and has not affected the groundwater under
the property. Personal communication with Mr. Doug Wilson of the Environmental Health
Department on December 8 reveals the leaking underground tank at the Jefferson Schogl that was
undergoin>;remediation is now officially closed. Regarding underground pipelines,he stated that
there were "most likely" pipelines in the adjacent railroad right-of-way, but no disclosure could be
made because of"Terrorist Laws" enacted in 2002.
The California Facility Inventory Database (CA FID) and Historical Underground Storage Tanks
(HIST UST) contains active/inactive and historical underground storage tank locations:
NAME OF FACILITY ADDRESS INFORMATION
Reich's Grocery 7505 W.
