July 17,2002
Job Number: LG02-136
Page 4
V. GROUND WATER
Currently, there are three(3)operating water wells located on the property. The wells are
located on the northwest portion of the property about 80 to 90 west of Building 5 (Plate 1). The
wells are located about 40 to 50 feet apart in a north south orientation. The north and south most
wells are used for fire safety and industrial water. These wells are tied together into a common
service pipe. The center well is independent of the other two wells and is used for domestic
purposes.
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District ground-water
depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the site.' The
Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current maps available from the county. The depth
to ground water below the site during the period of Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 was
approximately 100 feet. The gradient and flow direction was southeast between 7.7 to 11
feet/mile. The following table summarizes all the available ground water information collected
for the site and nearby area.
Table 3.
Summary of Available Ground Water Information.
Date,Source Groundwater Depth Notes
Two borings: 3-feet and 9-feet deep.
