` LK E/NFELDER
Btl9Btl4aple.Bi9Btblufions.
5 EVALUATIONS
Kleinfelder performed this ESA Addendum/Update of the subject site in conformance
with the relative portions of ASTM Practice E1527-05 and applicable limitations. The
following discussion summarizes the information revealed during Kleinfelder's
addendum/update and limited groundwater sampling activities.
5.1. FINDINGS
The following sections describe Kleinfelder's findings related to a comparison and
contrast of the current site reconnaissance and the former site reconnaissance
conducted in March of 2006 and groundwater sampling results. Findings include
recognized environmental conditions, historically recognized environmental conditions,
and deminimis findings, as applicable to the subject site. Business environmental risk
issues are discussed in Section 5.4, Deviations. In summary:
5.1.1. Background Information
Historical aerial photographs, topographic maps and interviews conducted with property l
owners in the former 2006 ESA revealed that the site has been used for agricultural
purposes, residential, and a beef or dairy farm since at least 1957.
5.1.2. Onsite Findings
Based upon the results of our research, Kleinfelder makes the following observations
regarding the property as compared to the prior site reconnaissance. For additional
details regarding specific comparison to prior conclusions see Section 5.2.
• A large electrical motor, single PMT, 14-inch diameter well casing, small soil
pile and polyvinyl tank were noted in the central portion of the southern parcel
near a diversion-type concrete structure. A former metal diesel AST and
diesel motor noted in the prior ESA were not observed.
• Additional PMTs were noted when compared to the last ESA. No additional
concerns, however, were noted.
Housekeeping practices appeared improved from the 2006 site visit,
particularly in Lone Tree Creek which traverses the site. Minor debris was
noted in the creek, which included a refrigerator, a few tractor tires and a
piece of wood furniture along the southern embankment. Water in the creek
was notably higher as compared to the prior ESA.
95428.E01/ST08R693 July 29,2008
©2008 Kleinfelder Page 17 of 26
