k' ■ KLEINFELDER <br /> 8 EVALUATIONS <br /> Kleinfelder performed this ESA of the subject site in conformance with the scope and <br /> limitations of ASTM Practice E1527-00. In summary, Kleinfelder's assessment <br /> revealed the following information about the subject site: <br /> 8.1. FINDINGS <br /> The following sections describe Kleinfelder's findings and provide a general background <br /> information about the site. Findings include recognized environmental conditions, <br /> historically recognized environmental conditions, and deminimus quantities, as <br /> applicable to the subject site. Business environmental risk issues are discussed in <br /> Section 8.3, Deviations. In summary: <br /> 8.1.1. Background Information <br /> Historical aerial photographs, topographic maps and interviews conducted with property <br /> owners reveal that the site has been used for agricultural purposes, residential, and a <br /> beef or dairy farm since at least 1957. <br /> 8.1.2. Onsite Findings <br /> Based upon the results of our research, Kleinfelder makes the following observations <br /> regarding the property: <br /> • On properties with a history of agricultural use, underground pipelines may exist. <br /> I It was common for said pipelines to contain asbestos (e.g. Transite pipe). A <br /> ' transite standpipe was noted in the northeast corner of APN 205-100-17. <br /> �- • Vanderschaaf, 15355 Van Allen Road, an address associated with the subject <br /> site, appears on the Statewide Environmental Evaluation and Planning System <br /> ( (SWEEPS UST) database. The USTs at this address are reported a 350-gallon <br /> L diesel UST and a 350-gallon leaded fuel UST. According to the SJC/EHD UST <br /> file, two 350 gallon UST's were removed from the site in February of 1990. The <br /> tanks were a diesel and a gasoline tank. No violations are reported in <br /> association with this facility. <br /> L . Pole-mounted transformers were noted thought out the site. Blue non-PCB <br /> stickers were noted on several of the Pole-mounted transformers. <br /> A remnant burn area was noted in the north central portion of APN 205-100-17. <br /> There did not appear to be any hazardous materials or debris within the burn <br /> 67453.P01/ST06R715/RB:ly Page 29 of 37 <br /> ©2006 Kleinfelder, Inc.
