The northern boundary of the property <br /> was defined by Lone Tree Road,and the western boundary was defined by Escalon-Bellota Road. One <br /> L transformer with a blue PCB-free sticker was observed at the northwest comer of the property along <br /> Escalon-Bellota Road. <br /> L Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of the subject <br /> property was Lone Tree Road, followed by the Escalon Livestock Auction, consisting of a large <br /> structure,a parking lot,and a number of animal pens. To the west of the property were a veterinarian's <br /> office,rural residences,and Escalon-Bellota Road,followed by agricultural land. To the south and east <br /> was agricultural land. <br /> j 3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination <br /> If.. <br /> No potential above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were <br /> identified from past uses of the site, except for the following: <br /> • Agricultural chemicals,including lambda-cyhalothrin,have been applied to the subject property. <br /> • One underground fuel storage tank was removed from the s lect property in 1988. <br /> • Rusting metal debris has been stored to the south of the irrigation canal at the northeast corner <br /> of the subject property. The debris was reportedly removed after the date of the site visit <br /> described in the report. <br /> 3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination <br /> L onbov r below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from <br /> t uses of the site, except for the following: <br /> L • Agricultural chemicals continue to be applied on the property. <br /> • One well and two or mote septic systems are located on the subject property. <br /> r <br /> The property includes an active rice dryer facility with three propane tanks and an unsurfaced <br /> parking area for semi-trucks. <br /> • A five-gallon chemical bucket and an area of stained soil approximately two feet across were <br /> observed to the south of the storage shed on the subject property. <br /> V <br /> 10 <br /> L "004 <br /> L <br />
