1 <br /> November 21, 2006 <br /> NOA Project Number: E06045B <br /> L 4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION <br /> 4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient <br /> The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground <br /> water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site. <br /> L The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official ps Mable from the County. <br /> According to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies betwee 0 an 88O eet below ground <br /> surface and flows at a gradient of about 0t6.0 <br /> e to the northwest m the vicinity of the Site. v <br /> LA perched layer of water was encounterbelow ground level by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc. during thedeep percolation test holes to a depth of 15 V' <br /> feet on October 27, 2006. <br /> 4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues <br /> Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the <br /> soil suitability study. A Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report addressed this issue (NOA, <br /> it 2005). Please refer to this report for descriptions.Potential ground-water contamination can occur <br /> from a number of sources which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural <br /> activities, dairies, septic systems,and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities, dairies and the <br /> use of septic systems in the area should be considered potential ground-water contamination <br /> sources. <br /> l L 4.3 Water Sample Location <br /> Two well permits were found on September 16,2006 for the residence on the northeast cornet of <br /> Lthe subject property. The permits were issued in July and August of 1976 for the installations of a <br /> new domestic well and pump. <br /> A water sample was taken from th faucei of theomestic well on site on September 21, 2006 by <br /> Mr.Jessen Welch of our office. -- ��% <br /> 4.4 Water Sample Constituents <br /> V <br /> The well water sample was analyzed for nitrate and DBCP.
