Dry Storage Building: i
The proposed Dry Storage Building is intended to provide boat storage for members of the ski club
and will be designed at ground level. The proposed structure will be designed to meet all requirements
set forth by Title 23 of the State Water Code, Section 9-1605 of the County Development Code and
all other codes required by the agencies having jurisdiction of the San Joaquin River.
Fuel Storage:
h
The proposed project will not provide fuel storage areas, all fuel will be brought to the site daily by its
members or provided by the management on a daily basis.
i
Ski Lake & Grading:
f
Presently the majority of the property within Parcel 2 is surrounded by an existing 3 foot high berm or
the 100 year levee that protects the vacant land from normal flows of the San Joaquin River. The
proposed ski lake identified on Parcel 2 will be constructed within the boundaries of the existing berm,
which provides a "ring" around the vacant land. The proposed lake is approximately 13.60 acres with a
center island in it. The depth of the lake will be approximately 5.5 feet, of which 4 feet will be excavated
below the existing ground and the material excavated from the lake will then be placed on the remaining
i
property, within the existing berm. It is calculated that the excavation of the new lake will generate
approximately 56,712 cubic yards of material and that the surrounding area within the confines of the
existing berm would be raised no more than 1.5 feet. Based upon preliminary earth work calculations,
existing topography and the direction of flow from the San Joaquin River it is anticipated that the design
intent will not significantly change or alter water surface elevation of the San Joaquin River. Local
drainage for Parcel 1 is anticipated to remain unchanged. Local drainage for Parcel 2 will be designed to
restore natural drainage patterns in the proposed riparian habitat area. Local drainage of the operational
area of the project will be directed to the proposed lake.
I
t
t
f
i
M
M
j
1
i
