A
GARDEN SCHOOL OF STOCKTON
1200 WEST HAMMER LANE • STOCKTON,CA 95M • Gt0!)4i8-e13b
6/8/93
cnoM. eu.ttn.r
ori
To San Joaquin County:
I am happy to be able to write this letter explaining
how John Eagal has given his time and effort to help
out both the school, the physical plant, and many of
the students who have attended in the last seven or
eight years.
Every year after the eighth graders graduate,John
takes them all out to his island, where the
volleyball, swim ski, etc. Y Play
_ Y John arranges everything,
and spends the day teaching the kids to ski and
supervising the whole day. The event is one that the
kids look forward to very much, and they seem to coarse
away with a fresh sense of wonder and delight with the
natural setting. John has always, in my experience
with him, been very keen on communicating to the
younger genereration the importance of their own
personal responsibility to preserve natural settings.
And since he is someone they respect, they listen to
him readily.
John has also helped a great deal in working with kids
interested in track. John is a former standout in
track, and so has a geart deal of knowledge which he
shares willingly.
Finally, John has helped out on numerous fund raisers,
and special events . He always gives very generously of
his time and energy, whether it' s workingwith the
kids or bringing his pump to pump out a sall lake of
standing water on the field after a big storm. If we
had more parents and role models like John, my job
would be a lot easier. Feel free to call me if you
would like any further information.
Sincerely,
Chuck Buettner
