Contingency plan for surface spills or equipment failure. <br /> The waste water treatment/injection well area will be <br /> monitored for leaks and equipment failures on a 24-hour <br /> basis by plant personnel and automatic sensors. In addi- <br /> tion, mechanical equipment and above ground storage tanks <br /> will be affixed with visual and/or audible alarms to alert <br /> personnel of equipment failures, power outages, high liquid <br /> or pressure levels. Adequate above ground storage has been <br /> designed into the project to handle emergencies. <br /> Surface spills shall be orally reported to the Director <br /> within 24 hours. Subsequent reporting requirements shall be <br /> managed as detailed in Part II, Section D, Item 3 of this <br /> permit. In the event of surface spills, the management per- <br /> sonnel in charge shall procure necessary personnel and <br /> equipment to contain and initiate cleanup activities. <br /> 28 <br />
