Description of Applicant's Operation <br /> San Joaquin CoGen, Inc. is applying for an Underground <br /> Injection Control (UIC) permit to construct a Class I <br /> non-hazardous waste injection well for the disposal of <br /> water from the water treatment plant and cooling tower <br /> blowdown process from its San Joaquin cogeneration <br /> facility (the "Facility") . Up to 216, 000 gallons per day <br /> of water is proposed to be injected at the site. <br /> The Facility will use by-product remediation water from <br /> Sharpe Army Depot to produce power to be delivered to the <br /> PG&E system. The water from the Sharpe Army Depot is <br /> currently being disposed of into the French Camp Slough. <br /> The injection facility is proposed to operate for a <br /> period of twenty years. <br /> 1 <br />
