PART II <br /> WELL SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR UIC PERMITS <br /> A. CONSTRUCTION <br /> 1. Siting [§146. 12 (a) ] <br /> The injection well shall inject only into a formation which is <br /> beneath the lowermost formation containing, within one quarter <br /> mile of the well bore, an underground source of drinking water. <br /> 2 . Casing and Cementing [ §146. 12 (b) ] <br /> Notwithstanding any other provisions of this permit, the per- <br /> mittee shall case and cement the well to prevent the movement of <br /> fluids into or above underground sources of drinking water. <br /> The casing, tubing, liner, and cement used in the construction of <br /> the well shall be designed for the life expectancy of the well. <br /> The following specifications apply to the injection well : <br /> - Conductor pipe - 50 feet of 16 inch or larger pipe <br /> - Surface casing - 1050 feet of 10-3/4 inch, K-55, 40. 5 <br /> pounds/foot, ST & C casing cemented from the <br /> surface to 1050 feet. <br /> - Long string casing - <br /> 7 inch, 29 pounds per foot, N-80, LT and C casing from <br /> 9673 feet to 7861 feet. 7 inch, 26 pounds per foot, <br /> N-80, LT and C casing from 7861 feet to 6333 feet. 7 <br /> inch, 26 pounds per foot, K-55, IT and C casing from <br /> 6333 feet to 1330 feet. 7 inch, 29 pounds per foot, <br /> N-80, LT and C casing from 1330 feet to ground surface. <br /> Cement 7 inch casing in place with 2-stage cementing <br /> program. <br /> - Tubing - 2-7/8 inch, 6. 5 pounds per foot, N-80, API EUE 8RD <br /> tubing equipped with Baker Model A-3 LOK-SET packer <br /> set at 100 feet above the injection zone <br /> (approximately 8200 feet) . <br /> 14 <br />
