[2] Continued.
subject property, the land was dry farmed and in pasture. The soil
surface horizon is very dark with an abundance of organic matter
and very "heavy" , consisting predominately of a clay soil
structure. These two characteristics make this soil conducive to
agricultural production. The most recent ag production consisted
of row crops.
The two major roads in the proximity of the proposed Church site
are Eight Mile Road to the south and Lower Sacramento Road to the
east. There is a very low density housing on these two roads.
It is proposed that the Bear Creek Community Church will be
adjacent to the north of the subject Church.
[3] PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUBJECT SITE
As referenced previously, the subject property consists of ten
acres and is proposed to be developed as the Roman Catholic Diocese
of Stockton. The maximum number of Parishioners to accommodate the
facility is proposed to be 500 people. There will be a retention
basin at the south end of the property. The septic leach field
area will be situated so that the area cannot be driven over,
- parked on or used as a storage area. Additionally, there will be
no underground utility lines running through this leaching area.
[4] PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK AND LEACH FIELD SIGHTING AND USAGE
A site plan can be found in the Appendix of this report. As can
be noted, the septic tank and leach field area are directly to the
west, or behind, the proposed structure. It is not known at
present whether the Church will have a kitchen and/or laundry
facilities. However, toilet wastes will be the primary concern for
the septic system. Since the system will be most heavily taxed on
- Sundays, it is proposed that a diverter valve be used so that each
of the two individual leach fields will not become overloaded.
2
(A,,a nhfi nhnl nsTmchnri
`
