[4] Continued.
San Joaquin County regulations require a minimum tank size of 1200
gallons. Seating is proposed at 500 ; therefore, a factor of 10
gallons per person yields a needed holding tank capacity of 6200
gallons. Three, 2000 gallon size septic tanks may be utilized.
Since the soil contains a high degree of clay, a soil factor of
. 250 translates to 1562 linear feet of needed leach line for the
septic system. There should be eight, 100 ft leach lines. With
the use of a diverter valve, four leach lines may be used at one
time, then effluent periodically switched to the other four leach
lines. There should be 48 inch I. D. seepage pits at the end of
each leach line. This calculates to be a 13 , 000 square foot leach
field area. The should be additional area for leach field
expansion, if needed.
[5] LOCAL SURFACE WATER AND GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
Maps produced by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District were reviewed for data on groundwater depth
and directional flow under the subject property. This map
illustrates the "Lines of Equal Depth of Water in Wells" during the
Spring of 1991. According to well depth measurements, the static
water level is located at approximately 60 feet below the subject
site. An exploratory test hole drilled to a depth of 25 feet
revealed no indication of saturated soil . The regional groundwater
directional flow appears to be in an easterly direction, although
many factors can influence a local directional flow, such as
irrigation pumping.
The Pixley Slough traverses in a southwesterly direction and is
located approximately 900 feet to the south of the proposed Church
site. This is the closest body of surface water to the subject
site. It is extremely unlikely that effluent from the Church's
septic system could adversely impact this surface water, due to the
distance involved.
3
iality l control Inspection
