[5] Continued.
A Nitrate test was performed on an irrigation well in the closest
proximity to the subject site on 4/7/92 . This well is located 1400
feet directly south of the subject property. There is a pressure
tank adjoining the well and the sample was taken from the bibb
exiting this pressure tank. The sample was taken after allowing
the tank to deplete its water supply and recharge twice. It was
not possible to measure the static water level depth in this well
since the observation tube was closed off.
The analytical results from this well water can be found in the
Appendix and indicate a low level of nitrate (NO3) concentration
at 13 . 0 ppm. This analysis indicates that there has been little
impact upon the groundwater under the area of the subject property
from agricultural practices, or surrounding septic systems. It is
recommended that a complete California Code of Regulations, Title
22 water quality study be performed on either the closest domestic
well, or preferably a drilled test well that will service the
proposed Church.
[6] SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTING
An exploratory boring was performed on the north adjacent parcel
to a depth of 25 feet to classify the subsurface soil structures.
Soil types encountered included a black, heavy organic clay surface
soil, above sands and silty sands. A medium coarse sand was
encountered at eight feet and continued down to boring termination
at 25 feet.
The percolation tests conducted by Quality Control Inspection, Inc.
were performed in accordance with the San Joaquin Environmental
Health Department regulations. Our testing procedure was conducted
on 4/6/92 . The field percolation test data reports can be found
in the Appendix.
4
, uality ((Dontml Inspection
