Chandler Martin June 20, 1994 <br /> UP94-9 Page 2 <br /> • On-site vehicle speed should be limited to 15 mph. <br /> Ozone Precursors-Ozone precursor emissions should be controlled by the following <br /> methods: <br /> • All internal combustion engine driven equipment should be properly maintained <br /> and tuned according to manufacturers specifications. <br /> • Idling of all internal combustion equipment shall be limited to ten minutes at any <br /> given time. <br /> • Use of building materials that do not require the use of paints/solvents. <br /> Energy Use Reduction-Energy use related to the project can be reduced by the <br /> following measures: <br /> • Energy efficient indoor and outdoor lighting (Exceeding Title 24 requirements) <br /> • Light-colored roof materials to reflect heat. <br /> • Building orientation to the north for natural cooling. <br /> • Planting deciduous shade trees adjacent to air conditioned buildings. <br /> • Energy efficient window treatments (shades, blinds, etc.) <br /> The applicant should be aware that any equipment (emergency generators and pumps, <br /> etc.) that have the potential to emit air pollutants may be subject to permitting by the <br /> District.
