Affected Property Owners of Proposed Development
Application No. SU-93-2 (Tract No. 2607)
2755 Stony Creek Circle
Acampo, CA 95220-9564 j
May 16, 1994E 1 !
N761994
Mr. Richard Larrouy COMMUNfTY DEVtWnntiv i utr .
San Joaquin County Community Development Department PLANNING D1YRON
Development Service Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Larrouy:
I, the undersigned, represent a consortium of notified and unnotified residents of the immediate
zone of influence affected by Application No. SU-93-2 (Tract No. 2607) and would like to call
upon the individuals within the appropriate agencies to address our concerns as they are listed
below.
Our first, foremost, and most significant concern is that the quality of our living, our atmosphere,
our drinking water, safety services and regional support do not fall below existing standards. As
we believe the expansion to be on Application No. SU-93-2 supplied to those people extended the
courtesv of notification, this development violates every ecological standard established by the
county of San Joaquin and its related agencies to protect the health and welfare of its residents,
economy, and natural resources including wildlife and the protected Mokolumne River area
immediately adjacent to this area. As we see this development, there will be at least forty-four(44)
additional wells draining our aquifer and a minimum of the same number of septic tanks draining
effluence back to the aquifer. We are already only marginally protected by fire and sheriff; and
the local school district is overburdened, understaffed, and struggling to maintain current standards
of education.
We are aware of the need to accept growth; however, this growth must be well defined and paid
for by those who will profit from the venture. If you are unable to maintain the standards that
have been established and feel compelled to approve this type of deviation from the master plan,
then as taxpayers we must respectfully request that you demand of the developer cash bonds
established prior to approval that will cover any shortfall in the existing quality of current services,
including but not limited to health, safety, and education.
We would appreciate a clarification of your position on this issue so that we may share it with the
rest of the local voters in the immediate zone of influence and surrounding area. We look forward
to your reply prior to the Development Committee review date of June 15, 1994.
With sincere concern for our community,
Carole D. Cannon, Coordinator
