U-turn down-facing blowoffs/ARV's above floodplain elevation(72"above grade). <br /> c. Backflow preventer as required by SJC EHD. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 WELL CONSTRUCTION <br /> A. General: <br /> I. Equipment:all equipment shall be the proper type and shall be in good condition to assure <br /> that the Work can proceed without interruption that the drilling of a plumb and straight <br /> well results. <br /> 2. Logging and Records:Contractor shall furnish the Engineer with a written daily log of the <br /> work. Information supplied shall include, at minimum, all quantities of unit price pay <br /> items and a summary of the major work tasks performed.The form shall be signed by the <br /> contractor and a representative of the Engineer and copy provided daily to the Engineer. <br /> B. Sanitary Seal <br /> I. After the filter pack has been placed around the uppermost screed interval as specified by <br /> the Engineer,a cement sanitary seal shall be placed on top of the filter pack to the ground <br /> surface. ` <br /> 2. The grout shall be pumped into the annular space through a tremie pipe or other approved <br /> method. The specific grouting procedure shall be approved by the engineer prior to <br /> installation of the seal. A tremie pipe shall extend from the ground surface to the bottom <br /> of the zone to be grouted.The tremie pipe shall be slowly raised as the grout is placed.but <br /> for discharge end of the tremie pipe shall be submerged in the emplaced grout at all times <br /> until grouting is complete. The tremie pipe shall be maintained full to the Surface at all <br /> times until completion of the grouting of the entire specified interval. <br /> 3. Once the grouting operation is complete, no further Nvork shall be performed on the well <br /> for a minimum of twenty-four(24)hours.
