HWY 120, MANTECA CALIFORNIA
SA-00-33
OUR JOB NUMBER: LG00-312
L INTRODUCTION
Our office was contracted by Mr. Greg Potts of South San Joaquin Educational Center to
conduct a Soil Suitability trate Loading Study for the two(2) acre parcel located at 10623 E.
State Route Highway 120,Manteca, California(Plate 1). The assessors parcel number for the
subject parcel is(APN)208-200-25. The San Joaquin County site approval number for the
project is SA-00-33.
• The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study was conducted to determine if the area is
suitable for the use of a septic system and to estimate the potential impact to ground water. The
study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105-2(d)of the San Joaquin
County Development. Major elements of the field work included one exploratory soil boring and
one in-situ percolation test as required by San Joaquin County Public Health Services in a letter
dated July 5, 2000,Requirement A. An examination of the field work results, nitrate loading
analysis, published soil information, geologic maps, and available ground water information was
used for this investigation.
Our office was unclear weather one(1) or two (2)percolation tests,"one on each lob_:,
was going to be required for the project as stated in the letter dated July 5, 2000, Mr. Rodney
Estrada, Environmental Health Specialist, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division,
indicated that one(1) percolation test near the existing septic field would satisfy this requirement
for the project.
H. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The parcel is located on the north side of State Route Highway 120 just east of Austin
Road and Highway 99. The site is 2.0-acres in size containing a church building, sanctuary
building, water well, water tank, septic system, parking area, and approximately 0.2-acre Hwy-
120 right-of-way easement.
