HIGHWAY 120 <br /> MANTECA, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: NA187034 <br /> Our office was contracted by Global Carrier Inc.to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> (SSNLS) for the property at 11150 E. Highway 120, Manteca, San Joaquin County, California. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, EHD <br /> Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007, and Nitrate Loading <br /> Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by San Joaquin <br /> County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department(EHD). A review of published <br /> soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site is located on an approximately 10.0-acre tract of land(APN 228-030-28) located at 11150 <br /> E. Highway 120, Manteca, San Joaquin County, California. The site is currently improved with <br /> an approximately 1,200 square foot (SF) residence, approximately 750 SF shop building, <br /> groundwater well, septic system, and almond orchard. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned general agricultural land <br /> (AG-40). According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department Zoning <br /> Codes the AG-Zone "is established to preserve agricultural land for the continuation of <br /> commercial agriculture enterprises." <br /> Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
