In the 2008 photo, no significant changes are apparent.
These photos are included in Appen rxdiixd 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Abigail Racco of Live Oak inspected the site on February 21, 2011. Photographs of the
Site are attached to this report as Appendix 2. The perimeter of the Site was
inspected, as well as all major features visible from the perimeter. The interiors of the
structures were not inspected.
The western half of the Site is an almond orchard; the northern portion has been
recently.planted, while the southern portion has older trees. The eastern half of the Site
is an open field. A field road separates the two halves of the Site; near the southern
end of this, cement access boxes from an underground irrigation pipe can be seen.
Two devices that look somewhat like windmills were observed in the orchard.
.A gravel driveway leads from Highway 120 to the residence, shop, and garage. The
domestic water well is located to the south of the shop building. A portable plastic tank
for agricultural chemicals or amendments was observed in front of the shop. An
irrigation well powered by an aboveground storage tank (AST) is located south of the
driveway to the west of the residential area. Minor oil staining to soil was observed
around the irrigation well. A-plastic jug of antifreeze was noted. A black plastic tank,
which Mr. Kamps indicated is used for fertilizer, was located to the north of the well.
Three pole-mounted transformers were observed in the vicinity of the irrigation well. All
appeared relatively new, and one was labeled with a blue sticker indicating it is free of
polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
A small burn pile containing wood was observed near the southwest corner of the Site.
A large bum pile which also appeared to contain wood was observed ori the adjacent
property to the immediate west.
The adjacent land consists of orchards, vineyard, and rural residences.
5.0 INTERVIEWS
5.1 Interview with Property Owners
Bob Kamps was interviewed by telephone on February 21, 2011. He indicated that he
owns two-thirds of the Site; the remainder is owned by Randy Fondse, who lives in the
LOGE 1108 Page 3
