Sites (LOP) list, dated May 2010, for surrounding facilities of concern. No listed <br /> facilities were found within one-quarter mile of the subject Site. <br /> Live Oak reviewed the EHD's Water Well Data Table dated March 10, 2009 for nearby <br /> addresses that have been tested for nitrate and dibromochloropropane (DBCP). Eight <br /> nearby wells were identified at addresses located within approximately two miles of the <br /> Site. Five of the wells had been tested for DBCP; it was detected in four at levels <br /> ranging from 0.26 to 2.96 parts per billion (ppb). Nitrate as NO3 was detected in all <br /> eight wells at concentrations of 18 to 135 parts per million (ppm). The Maximum <br /> Contaminant Level (MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 45 ppm; the MCL for <br /> DBCP is 0.2 ppb. <br /> 7.3 Office of Emergency Services Databases <br /> The San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) Hazardous Materials <br /> Management Program (HMMP) Compliance Website was searched on November 26, <br /> 2010. No records were identified for the Site addresses. <br /> Michelle Halliwell of the OES was interviewed by telephone on December 7, 2010. She <br /> indicated at this time that no hazardous materials incident reports are on file in the OES <br /> database for the Site address or adjacent addresses on Highway 120 or Carrolton <br /> Road. <br /> 7.4 Fire District <br /> The Ripon and Escalon Fire Districts were contacted regarding the burned packing <br /> shed on the Site. Neither Fire Marshal Joel Castrol of Ripon nor Fire Chief Mello of <br /> Escalon could remember the fire or locate records for it. Neither was aware of any <br /> environmental incidents involving the Fire District in the vicinity of the Site. The <br /> boundary dividing the two Districts is Carrolton Road (personal communication, <br /> December 7, 2010). <br /> 7.5 Agricultural Commissioner's Records <br /> The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office was contacted regarding <br /> agricultural use of the site. Chemical use reports were identified for the Site under the <br /> name of David Van Elderen. According to these records, approximately 60 acres of <br /> almonds and five acres of persimmons were grown on the Site from 2005 through the <br /> present. Use reports were identified for the almonds only. No violations were identified. <br /> The following table summarizes the products reportedly applied to the Site from 2005 <br /> through the present. <br /> LOG El 028 Page 5 <br />
