.. `W
January 24,2005
NOA Project Number: E04158A
3.0 EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
One septic system is present at each of the two residences on the Site.
3.2 On-Site Septic Permit History
One septic permit was found for the Site address of 28567 East Highway 120 during file review at
EHD on January 6, 2005. That permit dated May 1980 is for the installation of a 1,600 gallon tank
and three 55 foot leach lines each terminating with seepage pits to serve the mobile home residence.
The presence of a second septic tank, located immediately west of the second residence,is indicated
on a well construction permit dated November 1978. The well permit does not specify any details of
.. the second septic system.
3.3 On-Site Septic Repair Permit History
There were no septic system repair records found for the site during the file review.
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office reviewed
a 2002 aerial photograph of the subject property available from Microsoft Terraserver. We counted
the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption that each building
cluster has one septic system. Using this method,we determined that there are a minimum of 8
` septic system per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general use of the vicinity is pasture, vineyards and orchards.
3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
The following septic system permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at
EHD on January 6, 2005:
3
