A few of the issues which
should be considered:
• Preservation of viable agricultural property.
• Impact of traffic by a private for profit project.
• Project which may adversely effect ongoing agricultural operations.
The initial environmental determination study developed December 11, 2000 addresses
the issues of land use in a limited scope.
The applicant did not provide a Business Plan fully describing the business which will be
conducted at the facility. To measure the effect on agricultural operations, the
Commission should review the plan and request public comment. There needs to be an
emphasis that the proposed project is private for profit and not a government developed
program.
I support local planning which accommodates orderly, logical, patterns of urban growth,
however, we need to protect our agricultural resources and compatible uses of
agricultural land.
Sinc ly,
EU
4ENE P.
