Mar 15 01 11: 29a San Joaquin County 4683127 p. 2
thursday,March 15,2001 1 37 AM Mike Blown(209)239-2050 N
The applicant should be responsible for controlling shallow groundwater on the site, and
no longer rely on the District for groundwater pumping. The proOd should be
conditioned to install its own groundwater dewatering system to insure that the
excavation does not enter the groundwater, If necessary, the applicant should secure
an NPDES permit, as well_ The District has no obligation to continue to control the
applicant's groundwater levels, without compensation and oversight, in perpetuity_
The applicant states that"there is a drainage easement#orated at the south wast corner
of the property that would permit the discharge of drainage from the site to the south."
No such easement with the District exists. The applicant hes not applied for storm drain
service from the District, and the site is not located within the boundaries of the District
If the applicant desires such services, ann%jton to the District would be required.
Sincerely,
Mike Brown,
President
