CCR Section 3708 addresses the reclamation of agricultural lands that are not located <br /> on prime farmland. The reclamation plan states that the site will be reclaimed to an <br /> alfalfa field. Reclamation must be sufficient so that the site is capable of sustaining <br /> economically viable production of crops commonly grown in the area. Performance <br /> standards should be included in the reclamation plan to ensure that the vegetative <br /> cover of the alfalfa is consistent with that on similar agricultural fields in the area. The <br /> reclamation plan must include a monitoring plan that specifies how the site will be <br /> monitored, who is responsible for the monitoring, and the frequency and duration of <br /> monitoring.
