Fransen Property <br /> Page No. 2 <br /> IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> As indicated, there are no existing structures on the <br /> property. The owners of the property and several neighbors are in <br /> reasonably close proximity to the subject property. One of these <br /> neighbors and the owner of the subject property were able to be <br /> interviewed and this information is presented next: <br /> OWNER: Lois Fransen <br /> ADDRESS: 9458 N Oakwild Ave. <br /> LOCATION: Adjacent to the subject property, due south. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: The house has been in the family since the 1930 's <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing a dual septic system with three <br /> leach lines and two dry wells. Originally, the <br /> home used one septic tank with one leach line and <br /> one dry well located on the south east side of the <br /> house. A second leach line was added to the system <br /> 15 years ago when the owners were experiencing <br /> problems. The second septic system incorporating <br /> one leach line and one well was added to the north <br /> east side of the house when an addition was made to <br /> the home that included a bathroom. The owners <br /> routinely have the system pumped out every several <br /> years to avoid backups. <br /> OWNER: Mednia <br /> ADDRESS: 9649 N Oakwild Ave. <br /> LOCATION: Across the street, sue west. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 30 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing a septic system with four leach <br /> lines located in the rear (west side) of the house. <br /> The Mednias have resided in the property for only <br /> 8 months, and they have experienced no problems. <br /> Shortly before the Mednias bought the home, the <br /> previous owner had the system pumped out. <br /> V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING <br /> According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in <br /> Wells" published spring 1994 by the San Joaquin County Flood <br /> Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater <br /> at this location is between 85 and 95 feet. <br /> As previously indicated, there are no existing structures or <br /> wells on the property. Water from the adjacent Fransen well was <br /> sampled on April 21, 1995 and tested for the presence of nitrates <br /> ose - <br />
