UNIFORM FIRE CODE:The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal <br /> to the Community Development Department for a building permit: <br /> (1) Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of public water mains <br /> (Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code). <br /> (2) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and <br /> the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and <br /> the California Electrical Code. <br /> (3) Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordancewith Appendix III-B of the Uniform Fire Code. <br /> (4) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.4 of the California Fire <br /> Code and the standards adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. <br /> (5) Key boxes: A knox box shall be installed according to the fire department's instructions. <br /> (6) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code,Volume 2, Standard <br /> 10-1. <br /> (7) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or <br /> property. (C.F.C.Section 105.2.1) <br /> 2. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT(Staff Contact: Gabe Karam, 468-3000) <br /> a. An encroachment permit shall be required for work within the road right-of-way. (Development <br /> Title Sections 9-1145.4 and 9-1145.5) <br /> b. The driveway approach shall be improved in accordance with the requirements of San Joaquin <br /> County Standard R-17 prior to issuance of the occupancy permit.
