October 23, 2009 Page 4 of 10 <br /> Our Project Number: LGS0090518 <br /> 4.0 GEOLOGIC AND SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION <br /> The Site is depicted on the California Geologic Survey Map of the Sacramento Quadrangle as <br /> within the Quaternary Modesto Formation (Qm). This unit consists of Undifferentiated alluvial <br /> deposits, mainly arkosic, forming toe of the Mokelumne alluvial fan, generally covered by 0.3 to <br /> 1.0 meters of Holocene intertidal deposits. (Plate 5, Appendix A). <br /> The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County <br /> Soil Survey to be composed of Devries sandy loam (149) drained with 0-2% slopes, Guard clay <br /> loam (169) drained with 0-2% slopes, and Rioblancho (226), and Tokay fine sandy loam (256) <br /> with 0-2% slopes. (Plate 6, Appendix A) (USDA, 1992).
