October 23, 2009 Page 6 of 10
Our Project Number: LGS0090SIS
5.2 Percolation Test Forms and Results
The completed percolation test form is included in the Appendix B of this report. A shallow
percolation test is defined by the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches in depth; a
satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch drop.
A deep percolation test is defined as being between 3.5 and 25 feet in depth; a satisfactory
percolation rate for a deep test is 30 min/in or less. One percolation test must demonstrate a
satisfactory percolation rate within the proposed septic system disposal field of each parcel to
utilize a standard septic system. Details of the percolation tests are summarized in the table
below.
Table 3.
Summary of Percolation Tests
Test No., Percolation Percolation Test Comments
Date Tested Test Rate Depth (feet) (minutes/inch) Duration (see notes)
P-1 (shallow) 3.25 4.10 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 percolation rate
P-2 (shallow) 3.35 27.80 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 percolation rate
P-3 (shallow) 3.27 6.10 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 percolation rate
P-4 (shallow) 4-hr Satisfactory
08-28-09 3.25 3.42 percolation rate
P-5 (shallow) 4-hr Satisfactory
09-29-09 3'27 4'46 percolation rate
P-6 (shallow) 3.05 42.00 4-hr Satisfactory
08-28-09 percolation rate
P-7 (shallow) 4-hr Satisfactory
08-28-09 3.10 6.10
percolation rate
P-8 (shallow) 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 3.30 3.70 percolation rate
P-9 (shallow) 4-hr Satisfactory
08-28-09 3.18 5.50 percolation rate
P-10 (shallow) 328 1190 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 . . percolation rate
P-11 (shallow) 325 640 4-hr Satisfactory
08-13-09 . . percolation rate
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240-209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02009 Neil 0.Anderson&Associates.Inc
