` Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report 1erracon
10516 E. Peltier Road ■Acampo, California
April 17, 2018 ■Terracon Project No. NA177074
Terracon's ability to interpret the land uses is limited by the scale and quality of the images.
Copies of the historic information are included in Appendix C.
2.3 Interviews
An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the site from
the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and
Disclosure Statement were completed by Ms. Joann Gribaudo, site manager and Mr. Johnny
Gribaudo, site owner on February 7, 2018. Based on a review of Ms. Gribaudo's responses, the
purpose of the SSCR is to divide the home site (APN 017-260-31) from the vineyard. Ms.
Gribaudo indicated the site is under Williamson Act land use limitations. On March 8, 2018 in a
telephone conversation with Ms. Gribaudo, Ms. Gribaudo indicated a former 500-gallon UST
was located near Shop 2 east of the residence garage and was removed in the 1970s or 1980s.
Ms. Gribaudo indicated a former 1,000-gallon diesel AST release occurred southeast of Shop 2
when the AST was vandalized. Ms. Gribaudo indicated the EHD provided regulatory oversight
for the cleanup including soil removal and clean fill placement. Refer to Section 3.1.2 San
Joaquin County Environmental Health for additional information regarding the diesel cleanup.
Based on a review of Mr. Gribaudo's responses, the site was formerly used as a dairy and
home site. Mr. Gribaudo indicated the site or adjoining properties were not used for gasoline
stations, motor repair facilities, commercial printing, dry cleaning, photo developing, junkyard,
landfill or waste treatment and was not aware of violations or transformers associated with the
site. Mr. Gribaudo indicated the site is serviced by a well and onsite septic system. Mr.
Gribaudo indicated the residence, barn (Shop 2), and shop (Shop 1) were constructed between
1949 and 1954 and a metal building (Shop 3) was constructed in the 1980s. Mr. Gribaudo
indicated a former residence was removed between 1951 and 1952. Mr. Gribaudo was not
aware of odors or staining associated with walls or floor drains, and was not aware of asbestos
surveys, or lead based paint surveys associated with the site. Mr. Gribaudo indicated a diesel
tank (size not indicated), 50-gallon drum of Roundup and 50-gallon drum of oil are stored on the
site. Mr. Gribaudo was not aware of industrial property uses associated with the site. Mr.
Gribaudo indicated pesticides and herbicides or other agricultural chemicals are applied to the
site and mixed, rinsed or disposed of onsite.
A copy of the responses has been included in this report as Appendix D. Refer to Section
3.1.3 for additional interviews.
3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
3.1 Research Methods
Terracon reviewed other federal, state, local, and proprietary databases provided by EDR. A list
of the additional reviewed databases is included in the regulatory database report included in
Appendix D.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 4
