5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION 5.1 Site map showing the location, with dimensions, of the soil profiled pit on the parcel. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel'. The Soil in this area is classified as Tokay Fine Sandy Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of lJ Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Tokay Fine Sandy ` Loam has moderate rapid permeability, thus percolation rates varied between 15 and 21 Min./Inch. C, LoJ (See Appendix). 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. / 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each 2, parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared. 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth and dimensions of hole,preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel' in accordance with County Standards. The ..,) shallow holes were prepared by Shaun Mackey of Dillon &Murphy on September 14, 2011. On September 15, 2011 the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period (hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum 12 inches): On September 16, 2011 the two shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth, diameter,2" gravel, 6" water refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See _ Appendix for Test Results Form. 3
