UP-00-12 OF R &G SCHATZ FARMS, INC. <br /> (C/O MIKE SMITH ENGINEERING) <br /> The applicant, R & G Schatz Farms, Inc., has submitted the above referenced Use <br /> Permit Application for a new winery in two phases. Phase one will include construction <br /> of a 6,000 sq. ft. processing and storage building, construction of a 750 sq. ft. wine <br /> tasting room with an additional 750 sq. ft. of storage on the second floor, a 10,000 sq. ft. <br /> tank farm with cover, crushing of 1,000 tons of grapes to be processed on-site, and <br /> custom crushing of an additional 1,000 tons of grapes to be processed off-site. Phase <br /> two will include crushing of an additional 1,000 tons of grapes to be processed on-site <br /> and an additional 10,000 sq. ft. tank farm with cover. The winery will be located on the <br /> southeast corner of Peltier and Kennefick Roads, northeast of Lodi. <br /> This item is tentatively scheduled to be considered by the San Joaquin County Planning <br /> Commission on September 7, 2000. The Community Development Department has <br /> reviewed the proposed Use Permit and will be recommending that it be approved subject <br /> to the following recommended Conditions of Approval: <br /> Use Permit Application No. UP-00-12 was approved by the Planning Commission on <br /> . The effective date of approval is . This approval will expire on , which is 18 months <br /> from the effective date of approval, unless (1) all Conditions of Approval have been <br /> complied with, (2) all necessary building permits have been issued and remain in <br /> force, and (3) all necessary permits from other agencies have been issued and <br /> remain in force. <br /> Unless otherwise specified, all Conditions of Approval and ordinance requirements <br /> shall be fulfilled prior to the establishment of the use and the issuance of any <br /> building permits. Those Conditions followed by a Section Number have been <br /> identified as ordinance requirements pertinent to this application.
