File No. 20-3566-01r T
March 19 , 1992
Reference is made to Plate I of this report which shows the
location of the George property. The majority of the site
area consists of agricultural and pasture land with
scattered residences.
On March 6, 1992 , a representative of our firm visited
three residences located off Priest Road. The purpose of
the visits was to obtain information on septic system use
and to inquire about any problems known to exist with this
method of sewage disposal. None of the residents
questioned reported having problems with the performance of
their septic systems. We were informed that their private
wells produced "good" quality water.
ITEM C-2 :
"The suitability of the soil for development
systems; " utilizing septic
On March 11, 1992 , a representative of our firm drilled and
set-up one 3-foot deep percolation test hole on each of the
three proposed parcels. The test holes were
hand drilling drilled with
equipment using
continuous-flight auger. Perforated PVC pipe wasdiameterinserted
into the test holes to prevent disturbance when adding
water. On March 12, 1992, the test holes were filled with
relatively clean water and left to soak overnight.
On March 13 , 1992 , our representative returned to the site
to perform the percolation tests.
As per J
County guidelines, the tests were performed forsan a perioduin of
4 hours. The last 30 minutes of each test were used to
calculate the percolation rates. In order to use standard
leach lines, the County requires a percolation rate of 60
minutes per inch, or faster, at the 3-foot depth. The
three tests performed passed with percolation rates of 10,
10 and 9-1/2 minutes per inch for parcels 1, 2 and 3 ,
respectively. The approximate locations where the
percolation tests were performed are shown on Plate I. The
County approved percolation test sheet is included with
this report.
ITEM C-3 •
"The depth and gradient of the water table; "
During our residence surveys on March 6, 1992, we were able
to measure groundwater in two wells. The groundwater was
measured at approximately 33 feet below existing ground
surface. The regional groundwater depth map for spring
1991, published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and
Copyright 1992 Kleinfelder, Inc.
