FEB 0 7 2914 <br /> ENVtpONMENTALHEALTH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> PEpMIlTtsERVICES BEFORE THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT BEGINNING 1:30 P.M., ON FEBRUARY 11, 2014, or as soon as the <br /> matter can be heard thereafter, THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, IN <br /> THE CHAMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, on the Sixth Floor of the <br /> Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton, California, will hold a public <br /> hearing and receive oral and written statements regarding the following application and its <br /> environmental determination: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE APPEAL BY KUSALAKARI CORPORATION (CIO <br /> KELVIN LAW AND ANTHONY ACEVEDO) OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S DENIAL OF <br /> USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. PA-1200118 for a religious assembly with a maximum of 50 <br /> members. Phase One, with building permits to be issued within 18 months, includes the <br /> demolition of a 1,440 square foot agricultural building, the construction of a 5,000 square foot <br /> assembly hall and meditation building, and the construction of a 840 square foot restroom <br /> building. Phase Two, with building permits to be issued within 10 years, is the construction of 15 <br /> meditation cabins totaling 4,752 square feet for use by congregation members, the construction of <br /> a 6,400 square foot temple with an overall height of 80 feet, and the construction of a 340 square <br /> foot storage building, as shown on the revised site plan dated December 18, 2013. The project <br /> site is located on the Past side of S. Priest Road, 1,000 feet south of Wyman Road, south of <br /> Stockton (First Supervisorial District) (Continued from the Board of Supervisor's Meeting <br /> October 22, 2013). Environmental Determination: An Initial Study indicates that this project will <br /> not have a significant effect on the environment, and a Negative Declaration has been posted. <br /> Planning Commission Recommendation: Denial <br /> All persons interested in these matters are invited to be present and submit written and/or oral <br /> statements regarding the project or the environmental determination at this hearing_ If you <br /> challenge the nature of the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those <br /> issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice. or in written <br /> correspondence delivered to the Planning Division at, or prior to, the public hearing.
