FEB 0 7 2914 ENVtpONMENTALHEALTH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PEpMIlTtsERVICES BEFORE THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT BEGINNING 1:30 P.M., ON FEBRUARY 11, 2014, or as soon as the matter can be heard thereafter, THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, IN THE CHAMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, on the Sixth Floor of the Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton, California, will hold a public hearing and receive oral and written statements regarding the following application and its environmental determination: PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE APPEAL BY KUSALAKARI CORPORATION (CIO KELVIN LAW AND ANTHONY ACEVEDO) OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S DENIAL OF USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. PA-1200118 for a religious assembly with a maximum of 50 members. Phase One, with building permits to be issued within 18 months, includes the demolition of a 1,440 square foot agricultural building, the construction of a 5,000 square foot assembly hall and meditation building, and the construction of a 840 square foot restroom building. Phase Two, with building permits to be issued within 10 years, is the construction of 15 meditation cabins totaling 4,752 square feet for use by congregation members, the construction of a 6,400 square foot temple with an overall height of 80 feet, and the construction of a 340 square foot storage building, as shown on the revised site plan dated December 18, 2013. The project site is located on the Past side of S. Priest Road, 1,000 feet south of Wyman Road, south of Stockton (First Supervisorial District) (Continued from the Board of Supervisor's Meeting October 22, 2013). Environmental Determination: An Initial Study indicates that this project will not have a significant effect on the environment, and a Negative Declaration has been posted. Planning Commission Recommendation: Denial All persons interested in these matters are invited to be present and submit written and/or oral statements regarding the project or the environmental determination at this hearing_ If you challenge the nature of the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice. or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Division at, or prior to, the public hearing.
