STEP 2 SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION - When you apply, file all of file following: • FEE The staff will let you know the current cost of filing an application. Make checks payable to file San Joaquin County Treasurer. • FORM Seven(7)copies of the completed application Information forms(attached)which rW owners"rust sign. • SITE PLAN Seven(7)copies of a folded Site Plen(see attached)end two(2)copies of an 8-tQ' x IYreduced copy of the plan. • HAZARDOUS Ona copy of a completed Hazardous Materials Disclosure Survey fon"(a copy of"form Is MATERIALS attached). • DEED One copy of the recorded deed(s)of lire property. • SERVICES If your project requires connection to public facilities,you must submit a 'will-serva'kiter itmom tine appropriate water, sewer and drainage entities at fire time of filing. This letter must include a statement from the agency that they will serve file proposed development, and has,or wdr have, the capacity to provide such service. • erSAPPLICATION Staff will check your application. If anything is missing,you will be notified in wraig. The COMPLETE applicant will be sent a postcard once the application has been determined compete. [Your application cannot be processed until it is complete.) i STEP 3 APPLICATION PROCESSING • CEQA The County will decide if the proposal will have an adverse effect on the environment If there are no adverse effects, the application will be processed. If there aro potential adverse etleds, further environmental review will be required. Projects that have the potential to adversely~file environment will require the preparation of an E.I.R. This may extend the processing time .REFERRALS AND Staff will refer dine application to any County departments,other agencies arid surrounding Property ACTION owners affected by your proposal. At the end of a review and comment period the staff will approve your application if they can make required findings. If the staff cannot make the required findings, file application will be denied. Typically action will be taken on the proved MfMn 7-8 weeks. • FINAL ACTION The action of the staff can be appealed to the Planning Commission. The stairs action is final unless appealed. For further information on the length of the appeal period, contact the staff, STEP 4 CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL PERMITS • CONDITIONS The staff'will send you file final action arid if it is approval it will list conditions, by department, that must be met before you can start your project. IMPROVEMENT In addition to the Site Plan, an Improvement Plan is frequently required as a condfion of OPProval. PLANS This is an engineered plan showing drainage, grading,frontage improvements,sdess,an-and off-site service and utility facilities, landscaping and circulation1parking details. • DRIVEWAY Driveway Permits must be acquired from Community Development Department lvany work PERMITS performed within the mad right of way. If the project prones on a state highway these permits are obtained from Callmns. • SANITATION d projects that will utilize new on-site sanitation disposal end/or on-sile wells, Mustget permits froom WELL PERMITS the Environmental Health Division. • BUSINESS If the project involves a business, a Business License must be approved prior to star"operation. LICENSES ,_ Business License applications can be processed concurrently with the Site Approval apPlcation. • BUILDING If the project involves construction a building permit must be approved prior to commencement of PERMITS work. • OTHER PERMITS Frequently other local, state and/or federal agencies will require permits prior to new uses being ' - established(e.g. Air Pollution Control District, Regional Water Qualify Control Board or the Sheriffs Office).
