ZR-91-10 and SU-91-12.
Major Subdivision Application and Rezoning
for a 26 lot subdivision in Morada.
Dear Mr. St. Sure:
In this development, our generation factors show that we anticipate .45 K-6
students per single family units yielding a total of 12 K-6 students; .12 7-8 students
per single family unit yielding 3 7-8 students; and .23 9-12 students per single
family unit yielding 6 students. At this time K-6 graders attend Davis
Elementary School at 5224 E. Morada Lane, Stockton; 7-8 students attend Morada
Eastview Middle School located at 5001 E. Eastview, Stockton, and 9-12 graders
would attend Tokay High School at 1111 Century Boulevard, Lodi.
In the past several years, the number of student in LUSD has increased beyond
the capacity of local schools. Overflow children are bussed to any school within
LUSD that has available space. The district is anticipating some modifications to
the high school attendance areas when Bear Creek High School opens in 1991;
however, it is anticipated that students from this area will remain in the Tokay
High boundaries until a fourth high school is constructed.
Any and all pupils further exacerbate the existing overcrowded conditions within
the District. Lodi Unified is working on a number of mitigation measures.
First, we have numerous applications for funding for new schools in-process
under the State's Leroy F. Greene Lease Purchase Program. Unfortunately, this
program does not have a stable, ongoing funding source and currently there is no
funding, regardless of eligibility.
Secondly, we are participating in the State's Emergency Portable Classroom
Program to the maximum extent possible; however, fund to pay the rents for these
Lodi (209) 331-7217 Stockton (209) 953-8217
