units come from Developer Fees which are a one-time assessment on new <br /> construction, and they are available only on a temporary basis. <br /> Third, nearly 90% of the District's enrollment is on a Year Round School Schedule <br /> at the present time, including Lodi High School. Not only was Year Round School <br /> absolutely necessary to mitigate overcrowding but it is fast becoming a <br /> prerequisite for receipt of State funding. <br /> Fourth, the District does impose Developer Fees at the maximum rate which are <br /> used to fund interim housing facilities and provide the local share of the State <br /> required matching funds. AB 2926 in 1987 limited the amount of developer fees <br /> that can be charged a builder for mitigation of school overcrowding. <br /> Fifth, out of necessity, the district is now opposing any and all development that <br /> will create an adverse impact on the district's ability to house students unless <br /> adequate measures to mitigate the impact that this project will have on the <br /> district, we will take the position of openly opposing this development. <br /> Thank you for referring this project to our District.
