3. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT (Staff Contact: Lisa Medina, 468-3455) <br /> a. The Environmental Health Department has no record or permit on the existing septic system and <br /> will require the applicant to uncover the septic tank and distribution box and stake out the leach <br /> lines under permit and applicable fee to document the septic system prior to approval of a <br /> building permit and/or Improvement Plan. (Development Title Sections 9-1110.3 and 9-1110.4) <br /> 4. LATHROP-MANTECA FIRE DISTRICT (Staff Contact: J. R. Monty, 858-2331) <br /> a. The project must conform with the appropriate edition of the California Fire Code (currently, the <br /> 2001 edition) and all related standards. <br /> b. Fire department facility fees are to be paid in accordance with the San Joaquin County Ordinance <br /> and Resolution adopting the fee schedule (single-family, multi-family, and mobile homes: $0.21 <br /> per square foot, and Industrial/Commercial: $0.29 per square foot). <br /> c. In order to commence construction beyond the foundation stage or the storage of building <br /> materials, emergency vehicle access and adequate water for fire suppression shall be provided in <br /> accordance with Sections 901.3, 902.2.1, 903.2 and 8704 of the 2001 California Fire Code. <br /> d. Provide a fire department access road (including during construction), required by the Uniform <br /> Fire Code. This access way must have a minimum clear width of 20 feet, have a vertical <br /> clearance of 13 feet, 6 inches, and be constructed of an all-weather surface. <br /> e. A knox box security key box shall be provided. Applications are available at the fire district office. <br /> f. Pallet storage is required to have the following: <br /> (1) Have a special fire permit. <br /> (2) Be stored no higher than 12 feet. <br /> (3) When next to a property line, be stored no closer than one-half the height and in no case <br /> closer than five feet. <br /> (4) The area shall be kept clear of weeds, rubbish, equipment, articles, and materials. <br /> (5) The storage area must be spaced so that a maximum grid system unit of 50 feet by 50 feet is <br /> produced. <br /> g. All permanent wiring must be installed per the Electrical Code. <br /> h. The area must be surrounded by a suitable fence of at least six feet in height. <br /> Conditions of Approval - 3 - PA-02-638 <br />
