According to ASTM Standard E 1527-00,paragraph 1.1.1, <br /> the term recognized environmental conditions means "...the presence or likely presence of any <br /> hazardous substances or petroleum products on a property under conditions that indicate an <br /> .m existing release, a past release, or a material threat of a release of any hazardous substances or <br /> petroleum products into structures on the property or into the ground, groundwater, or surface <br /> water of the property." <br /> an <br /> This Surface/Subsurface Contamination Report discusses all work performed by NOA to date <br /> with regard to this project. The principal findings are outlined throughout the body of this text <br /> bw and are summarized in the conclusion of this report. <br /> ` This report has been formatted to correspond to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department's Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report Requirement Checklist,dated July 14, <br /> 2003. <br /> Imp <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> no 1.1 Description of Site <br /> The subject property is located west of Highway 99, approximately one mile north of Manteca, <br /> ` California. The property consists of a 47.09-acre parcel (APN 204-050-44), roughly rectangular <br /> in shape,and a smaller parcel(APN 204-050-29),less than one acre in size,nested within the larger <br /> parcel. Two additional parcels which have been carved from the southeast corner of the large <br /> parcel are not included in this assessment. Three residences and a barn are currently located on <br /> the property; the remainder of the site is planted with an almond orchard. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site, the <br /> subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. <br /> r. This zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises" (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us, 2004). <br /> Location maps of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix A.
