GRO UND WA TER INFORMATION
/The Map,Lines of Equal Depth to Water, Spring 1999 shows approximately 45'to static water.
Several City of Lodi wells exist in the search area.
j/A community garden exists on the adjacent northerly parcel. Irrigation was underway and
observed on 8/21/06. Internal irrigation ditches were flowing approximately % full. What type of
controls are in place with respect to herbicides and pesticides is not known. A hazardous waste
site exists at 110 E. Turner Road. The site is south of the Mokelumne River and more than %2 mile
distant from the site.
The existing well on Parcel 2 was sampled and tested by FarWest Labs. The results show
DBCP<0.01 ug/L and Nitrates 4.3 mg/L. The water meets California Drinking Water Standards
with respect to the two tests required.
,/No third party is involved in the water sampling and testing..No representative of Smith &
Associates was present when the water sample was taken. The log of samples taken is included in
this report along with the test results.
SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION
The Tentative Parcel Map shows the location of the test holes. No pit was dug, as the
classification of the soil is made at the time of the drilling.
The soil is classed as Tokay. The top 7'to 8'is silty sand, non plastic. Clay began at the
approximate 8'depth and continued to 25'. The 8'-25' strata was interspersed with some gravel
layers and thin layers of sand. No water was observed in the test holes.
As observed in the field, the sand strata should support a primary SFR and a second unit dwelling
as well.
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
/The location of the test holes are lotted on the TPM included. While shallow 42" holes were
P ( )
tested, drilling to 25' for a profile was completed but not tested at that depth. No water was
evident in the 25'hole.
The shallow hole on Parcel 1 and 2 were tested on 8/21/06. The holes were 6" in diameter and
42" deep. The holes were sleeved with a 4" PVC pipe. On 8/20/06 at 0800, 12" of water was
placed in each shallow hole. Two inches of gravel was placed n the bottom of each hole and
around the exterior of the PVC pipe. (See Hole Preparation Sheet/Smith&Assoc.)
The holes were dry at 0800, 8/21/06. Both holes were rapid perc rates. Procedure No. 3 was
followed. A representative at the EHD advised we start the one hour test at 1015 hours and an
inspector would arrive for the required readings. The testing conformed to SJC Policy EHD 02-
02. The field form used for recording data is included. Mr. Mike Escotto of the EHD of SJC was
present for the required readings and signed the field form.
2.
