The property size is 6.38 acres in size and is presently used for
Mokelumne River School. Mr Tony Arnez requested that our office conduct a percolation test to
satisfy a requirement of the Environmental Health Department for siting a new school septic
system.
The percolation test holes were located approximately five feet north of the designated leach field
and five feet east of the septic tank which had already been installed. This location was
determined by you to be at the site of the septic system leach field.
The drilling of a three (3) foot deep shallow and a twenty-five (25) foot deep percolation test
boring was conducted on October 4, 2005 using a truck -mounted deep rock drilling rig with a
4-inch diameter auger. The soils were found to be dark brown silty sand from the surface to a
depth of twelve feet followed by a light brown sand to a depth of twenty three feet. At twenty
three feet light brown moist sandy silt was encountered. No ground water was encountered in the
hole.
Within the boring, an inch of"pea gravel" was placed in the bottom of the hole to stabilize the
side wall from caving and prevent erosion while filling the boring.
