k
` DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
GROUNDWATER FLOW DIRECTION AND GRADIENT
Water levels measurements were made in each of the monitoring wells prior to
sampling. The depths to water levels during the groundwater sampling event were
! converted to elevations in reference to the survey conducted previously. Two of the
three wells could not be sampled this quarter due to very low water levels.
Historically thea groundwater flow direction has been plc€la,,.ted to he north by northeast.
The groundwater dwate graddiel iL could not Ve ;a€vi s`iatrt.%A tI..; 'j-- ter beca=use low water levels
in the monitoring wells may have affected depth to groundwater measurements. Table 1
is attached with a summary of historical groundwater elevations at each monitoring well.
GROUNDWATER SAMPLING RESULTS
Groundwater sampling occurred on January 23, 2009. Samples could not be obtained
from monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 due to low water levels. Samples fron)
monitoring well MW-1 were sent for laboratory analysis. The groundwater samples
were analyzed for pH, Ec, Nitrate as Nitrogen, ammonia as N, TDS and total and fecal
Coliform organivrin.i. Copies of tart results and sampling procedures are indicated in the
Appendix.
The following table summarizes the detected concentrations of the constituents included
in this assessment. A summary table of historical results is shown in Table 2 of this
report, followed by graphs for Nitrate as N, TDS, and Ec. Monitoring Well #1 is the
background monitoring well.
