Install an approved back-flow prevention device on the water supply system(s) (California Code <br /> of Regulation, Title 17, Section 7603). <br /> F. If floor drains are required, they must be plumbed through a sand/oil separator and discharged to <br /> an above ground system approved by the Environmental Health Department. A registered <br /> engineer must design this system. The material collected in the above ground holding system <br /> must be analyzed for hazardous constituents prior to disposal. Specific test requirements may be <br /> obtained from the Environmental Health Department. A $278 plan check fee is required at the <br /> time of submittal. <br /> G. Before any hazardous materials/waste can be stored or used onsite, the owner/operator must <br /> report to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) which can be found at <br /> cers.calepa.ca.gov/for the following: <br /> a. Any amount of hazardous waste (e.g., used oil, waste solvent, waste gasoline, <br /> many waste paints/tints, some sandblast wastes, etc.) — Hazardous Waste <br /> Program <br /> i. Every business that generates hazardous waste is required to obtain <br /> either a permanent Federal EPA ID Number (415) 495-8895 or a <br /> California ID Number (800) 618-6942. <br /> b. Onsite treatment of hazardous waste — Hazardous Waste Treatment Tiered <br /> Permitting Program <br /> c. Reportable quantities of hazardous materials-reportable quantities are 55 gallons <br /> or more of liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed <br /> gases, with some exceptions. — Hazardous Materials Business Plan Program <br /> d. Any amount of hazardous material stored in an Underground Storage Tank — <br /> Underground Storage Tank Program <br /> e. Storage of at least 1,320 gallons of petroleum aboveground or any amount of <br /> petroleum stored below grade in a vault — Aboveground Petroleum Storage <br /> Program <br /> f. Threshold quantities of regulated substances stored onsite — California <br /> Accidental Release Prevention (CaIARP) Program <br /> H. If an underground storage tank (UST) system will be installed, a permit is required to be <br /> submitted to, and approved by, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> before any UST installation work can begin. Additionally, an EHD permit to operate the UST is <br /> required once the UST system in installed. <br /> I. If 1,320 gallons or more of petroleum is to be stored aboveground then a Spill Prevention, <br /> Countermeasures and Control (SPCC) Plan is required. If any amount of petroleum is to be <br /> stored in a below grade vault, an SPCC plan is required. <br />
